September-October

• Sign up for, and take, the PSAT/NMSQT.

• Attend a college fair.  Check with the Counseling Office for details.

November-January

• Gather information about your post-high school options.

• Sign up for the ACT (or SAT).  Check with the Counseling Office if there will be a school-wide ACT given.

February-May

• Plan for a balanced, yet challenging, Senior year.

• Prepare for the ACT.  Practices tests are available online or check with the Counseling Office for additional practice resources.

• Visit colleges (it is important to not put this off entirely until your Senior year).

• Take Advanced Placement Exams (if appropriate).

• Start to narrow your post-high school options.

Summer

• Continue to visit colleges throughout the summer.
