Welcome to the Becker School District.  I’m glad that you are exploring our website.  We are proud of our school district.

The stakeholders of the Becker School District collaborate to advance our vision to prepare self-directed learners to thrive in a changing global community.  The Becker School District honors our proud tradition of academic excellence and outstanding co-curricular programs while preparing our students to succeed in the world of tomorrow.

Yet, the challenges and opportunities for public schools have never been greater.  By applying research findings, best practice, fiscal responsibility, and technology, we are committed to preparing young people to realize their potential and thrive in the global community.  Our community support, involved parents, and exceptional students are fundamental to the continued success of our schools.  Our staff is second-to-none and we are continuously participating in professional development opportunities within the school and outside to improve the area’s best workforce.

Becker Public Schools is recognized by surrounding communities for their excellent test scores in all age ranges.  Students are provided with a variety of opportunities in our elementary classrooms. A 1 to 1 technology initiative has provided students with an opportunity to become self-directed and enables our school district to provide greater chances to thrive in our community and beyond.  A strong support system through our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) provides students and staff to meet the needs of every student in every classroom.  School counselors and mental health practitioners utilize a variety of methods to meet the vast needs of our students to remove roadblocks in their lives to further create self-directed learners who thrive in our community and beyond.  Bus drivers are trained in bullying prevention through PeaceMaker Minnesota. These along with many other great reasons is why Becker Public Schools has been positioned as one of the top schools in Minnesota and has developed a tradition of excellence from day one.

Within our school buildings, we have developed a rigorous educational system with a variety of supports to help grow each and every child within our district. Students within our early childhood program through College in the Schools at the high school level succeed because of the relationships staff have developed with our students.

A number of programs and teams have been recognized for their success both in the classroom and on the playing field.  U. S. News and World Report recently ranked Becker Public School District in the top 10% of all MN School Districts based on College Readiness, High School Graduation Rate, Pre-K Quality, Preschool Enrollment and a number of other factors. According to GreatSchools.Org, Becker Schools have received a number of 5-star ratings from parents and community members.  Teams and individuals have experienced success at the state, national, and international level in a variety of extra-curricular activities.
