Thank You Liberty Paper!

Once again, Liberty Paper has been a great partner as we worked to motivate our sixth graders to read environmentally-themed books for the past six weeks, culminating in our Earth Day Rally today!  Every one of our sixth graders read at least one book, and many read two or three as they earned chances at winning Liberty prize bags and GREAT prizes. Students who chose to go beyond (56 of them!) wrote essays that have been submitted to Liberty for a contest which will award prizes (and a facility tour) later in May.  Forty students earned prize bags including cardboard houses, pencils, candy and a Subway gift card.  Our big winners took home $30, $60, and $90 gift cards from Target!  Every sixth grade homeroom also earned a pizza party (provided by Liberty) for 100% participation in this challenge.  In addition, about 150 students received Liberty Paper t-shirts for reading at least two books. As always, we feel so blessed that Liberty is such a great contributor to our school community! They really spoil us!

Thanks to Tim, Tom, Jason, Laura, and Ashton for being with us for this awesome day, and special congratulations to Calvin, Corbin, Brooke, Lexi, and Katie for being the big winners of the Target gift cards!
