Environmental Books & Liberty Paper

posted May 23, 2019, 7:14 AM by Holly Wieber
Our sixth graders would like to thank Liberty Paper, International (LPI) for once again putting on a great Environmental Book Challenge for our sixth graders this year.  Students were challenged to read fiction and nonfiction books dealing with conservation, recycling, and environmental issues in the months of March & April, and earned a number of incentives for participating.

Students who read one book were eligible for a class pizza party and an LPI pencil and a prize drawing entry.

Students who read two books earned that, plus a T-shirt and three prize tickets.

Students who completed the essay portion of the contest also earned a field trip to LPI on May 24th, as well as five prize tickets.

Right after Earth Day, representatives from LPI visited us to give away 45 treat bags, gift cards to Target, as well as a camping package!

On May 22nd, LPT treated eight of our 6th grade homerooms to a pizza party for having 100% class participation.

We feel very blessed that Liberty (especially Tim Swanson & Kami Garding, who worked hard on the challenge for us this year) has developed this awesome tradition with our sixth graders!
