Big Fish Book Challenge: Final Rally!

Congrats to all our 6th graders for successfully completing the Big Fish Book Challenge again this year!  We had nearly 70 students make their way to "Northern" level this year (4500+ pages) and many more close behind at "Walleye".

This year, we celebrated the end of the challenge in quite a few ways!

First, Liberty Paper (along with some GREAT cooking from Big D's pizza) treated ALL our sixth graders with pizza and pop in recognition of full participation in our Environmental Book Challenge in March & April. Try to imagine what 45 pizzas and 36 two liters look like! We are so thankful for the generosity Liberty provides, and especially would like to thank Tim Swanson for all his support!

Secondly, all our "Northerns" earned either a poster or book, compliments of our Scholastic Book Fair profits from this year.

Third, the top reader in every homeroom was awarded a Big Fish trophy.  Our top readers were Anna P., Michael F., Jayden K., Faith P., Eli B., Ayriona D., Courtney N., Gretchen G., and Emma P.

And lastly, thanks to the generous support of Patrick Michaud of Horace Mann and Deb Fisher, representing the St. Cloud Noon Optimist Club, two of our students won awesome new bicycles!  Our winners were Jacob V. and Emma P.

Thanks again to everyone involved in a GREAT year for the Big Fish Book Challenge!
