BIS SOAR

THE SOAR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS:
SOCIAL, ORGANIZATIONAL, ACADEMIC, & POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS

WHAT IS SOAR?

SOAR is the after school program offered to students at Becker Intermediate School. The SOAR Program is intended to supplement the assistance provided on everyday math schoolwork, with specific emphasis on the development of grade level math standards and problem solving.

The primary focus for the spring SOAR program will be on math fact fluency and skills practice. Each week, students will be introduced to specific math and problem solving skills to help them be more successful in the area of math.

HOW DOES A STUDENT QUALIFY FOR SOAR?

The SOAR teaching team reviews data from NWEA, MCA, and classroom assessments to refer students to the after school SOAR program for additional assistance.  Prior to starting the program, staff will ask a parent/guardian to fill out the SOAR referral form. Forms are found on this page, or in the Intermediate School office.
