September 20, 2017:  Seniors! College Knowledge Month, a Minnesota initiative, is just around the corner. College Knowledge Month's goal is to provide every graduating high school senior with the preparation, opportunity and support needed to apply to college. Many colleges/universities in Minnesota waive the application fee for a period of time during October.  Please check Google Classroom to find out which Minnesota schools waive application fees.

**SENIORS:  A reminder that Chris Lommel will be taking a class photo this Friday at 2:30pm.

**JUNIORS:  The PSAT/NMSQT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) test is on Wednesday, October 11th. This is an optional test for 11th grade students who test exceptionally well or know they need to take the SAT. Juniors who feel he/she can score in the top 1% on the PSAT are encouraged to take the PSAT (for potential National Merit Scholarship qualification). Registration deadline is Friday, October 6th. Bring a check (payable to Becker High School for $16) to Jackie in the Counseling office to sign up. When you sign up, you will also be given a Student Bulletin to help prepare for the test.

**This year’s Homecoming dance will begin on Friday at 9:00pm and go until 11:00pm.  The cost is $5 or $4 with a food shelf item.  No one will be allowed admittance after 10:00pm.   Please use Door #11.

**Juniors and Seniors:  Powder Puff Permission forms need to be turned into the activities office by the end of the day Thursday!

**Interested in joining CIS Robotics? There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 20th at 3:05pm in Mr. Jurek's room. Those interested will learn about the program and returning members will be pre-registering for the 2018 season.

Tomorrow’s dress-up day is THROWBACK THURSDAY. Bring your favorite style back in style. A reminder that you can enter a daily drawing if you are dressed up each day as well as if you participate in the activities that are offered. There will be two students each day who can win free school breakfast, and at the end of the week there  will be a GRAND PRIZE. Coloring Contest Sheets are due back to the Activities Office by Friday morning. Let’s make this the best Homecoming yet!!
