BHS Artists Honored

Several BHS students attended the Granite Ridge Art Festival in Foley this week. 17 of the 19 works of art received either an Excellence or Superior award with 4 receiving All-Conference honors.

All Conference awards went to

Sami Stellmach in Drawing
Saidy Ziegler in Drawing
Trystan Johnson in Sculpture


Becker High School Presents "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind"

Show Dates and Times for this year's Spring Play are as follows:
Friday, May 5th at 7:00p.m.
Saturday, May 6th at 2:00p.m. and 7:00p.m.
Sunday, May 7th at 2:00p.m.

Ticket Prices:
Adults: $8.00  Students, Seniors, and Military ID Holders: $6.00
Please click here to buy tickets.  Only 125 tickets will be sold for each show.
This play is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

Art Students Honored

131 students from 17 school groups across Central Minnesota were honored this week at the 37th Annual High School Art Exhibition & Re
cognition Ceremony. Congratulations to Caitlynn Bush, Can’t Feel The Burn (Best of Show), Julia Abfalter, Meet Me At Midnight (1st Place Painting), and Madelyn Schmidt, Monopoly (3rd Place Painting).

Prom 2017 - Back to the 50s

Prom 2017 Back to the 50s! Tickets go on sale TOMORROW April 4 during all high school lunches. Tickets are $19 for an individual or $38 for a couple. Checks may be made out to Becker High School. 

Prom is at The Classic Hall in Annandale from 8-11 P.M. If students wish to ride a school bus, they should indicate interest when purchasing tickets. If there is enough interest, a bus will be provided. 

Grand March will be at the high school from 3-4 P.M. Students need to sign up for grand march order and a picture time when buying tickets.

**Any students interested in participating in the Granite Ridge Art Competition need to see Mrs. Eichler ASAP to get a permission slip.

**Attention BHS Students and Staff!
 Show us your talent during the 
Spring Fling Talent Show on May 19.  Pick up an application in the Media Center and return it by Monday, May 1.  Tryouts are next  Wednesday and  Thursday after school in the Band Room.    

**There will be a student council meeting tomorrow morning  at 7:40am in Room 419.

**Freshmen and Sophomores:  Please send Ms Lorentz your photos from last Wednesday's field trip for a special segment of Student News.

**Grand March will be April 29 at 3 P.M. in the high school gymnasium. Admission is $1. Children 5 and under as well as senior citizens are free.

 ****There will be a meeting for all HS volleyball players next Thursday after school in the Old Auditorium.  The meeting will last about 20 minutes.

**All Juniors & Seniors attending prom who will be bringing a guest who does not attend Becker High School, please see Kendra for a prom guest contract.

**If you still have not received your physical prom ticket, but paid for them please come to Mrs. Nicolas' room.  Also, you may still buy prom tickets. They are $19 a person or $38 a couple. You may purchase them in room 503.

**We will be making the prom program soon. So, if there has been a change to your date or you have not yet purchased your ticket and want to be in the program, you must buy your tickets by Friday.

Local Scholarships Available

Applications for our local scholarship program (offered to Becker High School graduating seniors only) are now available on Edmodo.  Current seniors should apply now.  Scholarships can be turned in online through Edmodo

or see Jackie in the Counseling Office.
