Digital Learning Day on April 11

posted Apr 10, 2019, 12:56 PM by Nancy Lorentz

Please read the Minnesota Department of Education approved Digital Learning Day Plan for Becker Schools  that outlines the basic procedure we will follow and the responsibilities of teachers, students and parents. It is important that all involved to do their part to make this be a successful endeavor.

We know that being in school is best, but when we can’t, it is good that we have an established plan and procedure in place.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation and extra efforts towards having a successful Digital Learning Day at Becker High School.

Robotics Team Shines at Regional!

posted Apr 1, 2019, 5:43 AM by Nancy Lorentz

The Becker Robotics Team 4607, C.I.S. competed in the 10,000 Lakes Regional in Minneapolis this past weekend. The team's robot put on another great show by being the 3rd overall pick by the #3 alliance. C.I.S. competed with alliance partners to take down the #2 alliance and compete in the finals. After 2 tough-fought matches, C.I.S. and company lost to the #1 alliance. This would be the 2nd time this season C.I.S. has competed in the Regional Finals. The team's success did not end on the field as they were awarded 4 other awards besides ending as Regional Finalists. Sarah Schmidt and her PIT crew impressed the judges with their culture of safety and took home the Safety Award sponsored by Underwriters Laboratories. The team's tremendous outreach and gracious professionalism led them to receive the Team Spirit award. Diana Bellefeuille was awarded the Regional Deal's List Award where she will compete in Detroit for the World Championship honor. And finally, one of our well-known mentors around the state of MN, Chris Roadfeldt, was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award.
