Greetings from the Becker Public Schools Transportation Department! Winter-like conditions arrived last week and Transportation wants to extend a sincere “Thank You” to each of you for doing your part to ensure the safe transportation of each student’s with our District. Safety is everyone’s responsibility.

We want to let you know about a couple of good news items: 1) our annual vehicle inspection passed with flying colors and 2) the Central Avenue bridge over the Elk River is now open!

With the bridge open we are working on some new routing to help reduce some ride times and number of students on a bus to get some students home quickly on a daily basis. We are hoping to have this completed around the holiday break; watch for an e-mail announcement s on this.

A quick reminder regarding transportation guidelines: Parents/Guardians are responsible for their own temporary transportation arrangements and students are required to get on and off the bus at their assigned stops only. We are not in a position to make exceptions; doing so makes for unpredictable busload sizes and confusion for our drivers.

Please have a Safe & Enjoyable Holiday Season!
