NHS State Service Project

posted Dec 18, 2017, 5:43 AM by Megan Ramola

National Honor Society's state service project this year is to raise money to help the Minnesota Association of Student Councils and Honor Societies raise $10,000 for Food for Kidz. As part of our efforts, we are doing multiple activities to raise money for this program as well as for our own local food shelf. Officially, our state service fundraising week is Jan. 15-19. Currently, we are trying to raise money through the sale of a Becker Spirit Wear t-shirt. The cost of the t-shirt is $10 (cash or checks made out to Becker Public Schools). The profit from the t-shirt will go entirely to Food for Kidz. If you would like to order a t-shirt please send the order form and money to Becker High School, attention: NHS (no youth sizes available)

Food for Kidz Mission.
Our mission is to bring awareness to hunger issues in the world by involving others in the participation of packing a nutritional meal supplement for distribution and also involve them in sustainability building to facilitate change; to expand the concept of children’s’ experiences beyond their vision of local to incorporate the world and to service, promote and educate other organizations to encourage their commitment for the purpose of making positive results in the fight against hunger.
