Members of BHS's WeCare Club used $384 raised on December 22 to purchase toiletry kits, socks, a cinch bag and fleece, which was used to make tie blankets. These blankets and kits will be donated to YouthLink Minnesota, which is an organization that helps homeless youth in the Twin Cities. Thanks to everyone who donated!

The following students helped make the tie blankets: Madison Blom, Gabby Proefrock, Allyna Storms, Sam Pounds, Karly Kowalski, Jessica Warzecha (paraprofessional), Carly Cory, Crystal Landwehr

The WeCare Club is a group of people who decided that they wanted to do something to make everyone feel welcome at BHS and to spread kindness in the community. They meet during lunch one a month and work on ideas like positive locker tags, writing random letters of kindness and organizing the Holiday Cards for Veterans project and fundraisers like Ugly Sweater and Hat Day.

Their next projects will include sponsoring Cards of Kindness in February, organizing the walk for Mental Health in May, and one more round of positive locker tags.
