Spring Activities Registration Now Available:

Registration for Spring Activities is now available at www.beckeractivities.com        
Below are the activities that Becker High School and Middle School offer during the Spring Season.  Start Dates and times are included in the information as well as the coach/advisor contact email.  If you have questions relating specifically to an activity please contact the coach/advisor via email.  Please remember that the weather during the spring season is very volatile, so in some cases determining a location for the first day of practice is just not feasible at this time, but more information will be given, as we get closer to the start dates.

Trap Team: Registration needs to be completed by Friday, March 8th.  There is a two-step registration process first with the school, and then secondly with the clay target league.  Both steps need to be completed.  Trap Team is open to both boys and girls in grades 8-12 (all athletes must have a MNDNR Hunter Safety Certificate).  The cost is $300, which includes league fees, ammunition costs, clay targets, shirts, and tournament fees.  Due to the uniqueness of Trap Team and it’s funding the fee does not count toward the activities family cap.

Activities starting on Monday, March 11th: 

Softball Grades 9-12:

Practices will be from 3-5pm in the high school gym.  There will be an informational meeting today after school for all perspective players 7-12.  If a player is unable to make the meeting you can see Mr. Baune in the Middle School or Jesse O’Neill in the High School for information.

There will be a captains’ practice this Sunday, February 24th from 6-7:30pm in the fieldhouse.

Boys’ and Girls’ Track Grades 9-12:

Practices will be from 3-5pm in the fieldhouse.

There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 27th (updated) right after school in room 419.  Also the online apparel information will be made available at that time. 

7/8 girls are welcome to join the 9-12 grade girls for practices if they wish the first week.

There will be an informational meeting for parents and players grades 7-12 on Thursday, February 21st at 6:00pm in the North Commons of the High School. 

Online apparel order information is coming soon, and will be addressed at the meeting.

There will be a baseball clinic this Saturday, February 23rd 3rd-5th grade will be from 8am-12pm and 6th-7th grade will be from 1pm-5pm, there is still time to sign up.

Boys’ Lacrosse Grades 9-12:

Required parent/player meeting on March 12th at 7:00pm in the HS Choir Room.  The fee for Lacrosse this year is $250, and due to the uniqueness of Boys’ Lacrosse and it’s funding the fee does not count toward the activities family cap. 

Captains’ practices are Monday nights from 8:30-10pm in the school (if no school, no practice).

Full team meeting on April 1st at 3:00pm in the film room next to HS Gym and come prepared to do Cardio, no lacrosse equipment needed on the first day.

Students need to be signed up before they will be allowed to practice.  Just a reminder that the registration process is a bit different than how it has been done in the past.  We apologize for this, but the district is making it possible to have a “one-stop shop” for most of the fees that are collected throughout the year.  With that being said, you will need to go to www.beckeractivities.com and watch a short video that will give you instructions on how to create a new account log-in (if you have not done this already this year to register for Fall or to make lunch payments online).  When creating your new log-in, you will be asked for your student’s Student ID which can be found in Skyward.  (First log into your Skyward Family Access, then click on "Student Info" on the right hand side of the page.  All of your students should appear, and then directly under your child's picture you should see "Other ID" which should be the third thing listed.  You will only need one of your student’s Student ID to create your new log in).

 

At the time of online registration you will be asked to pay the appropriate activity fee of $150.00 (HS) and $115.00 (MS) for athletics and $95.00 (HS) and $85.00 (MS) for arts and other activities. If you absolutely do not want pay online, you can still pay by check or cash in the activities office, but ALL of the forms still need to be filled out online and registration will not be complete until the fee is paid. There will be a family cap of $650.00 for the year.  If you are close to the family cap, the registration system will automatically reduce the fee.

 

A REMINDER: all new 7th graders need to receive a MSHSL Sports Qualifying Physical from their physician before they will be allowed to participate in MSHSL sponsored Athletics.  Physicals are only good for three years, so 10th graders and other whose physical has expired will need to have another physical done in order to participate as well.  If you have any questions about whether or not your son or daughter’s physical is current please contact the activities office.  Appropriate physical forms can be downloaded at

A hard copy of the current sports qualifying physical still needs to be turned into the Activities Office before participation in activities will be allowed.
