Fall Activities Registration NOW Available:

Fall 2018 Information:

Hello:
The registration link for Fall Activities is NOW available.  Below is information on start dates, times, locations, and coaches contact info.  There may be some changes made, so as always, please continue to check the Activities Office page on the district website.  There are also attachments to this email that the Football Program has asked us to hand out so you can see those as well if this pertains to you.  The Activities Office hours will be as follows for the month of August.
August 7th-9th: 8:00a.m.-1:00p.m.
August 13th-16th: 8:00a.m.-1:00p.m.
August 21st-23rd: 8:00a.m.-1:00p.m.
August 28th-30th: 8:00a.m.-1:00p.m.

Start Dates:
Girls Cross Country Grades 7-12:
Starts Monday August 13 and practices run from 7:30am to 9:30am before school starts and once school starts we will practice from 3-5:00pm.  Girls should meet at the field house and on the first day and they will need to bring water and locks (coaches will be giving out lockers). Runners will need good pair of running shoes as well.  Those doing summer conditioning will benefit immensely.  If athletes run 150 documented miles they will earn a reward!
Captains are Victoria Kolbinger, Tate Spinner, Bryanna Edling, Alli Garding and they will have some dates Run Club dates.

Boys’ Cross Country Grades 7-12:
Practices begin on Monday, August 13th.  
Practices will be 7:30-9:30am during the first couple of weeks and will meet at the Field house.

Girls’ Soccer:
Grades 9-12: August 13-24 (1st 2 weeks) will practice 8:00-11:30a.m.  During the 1st week of practice they will practice at the BAC.

Grades 7-8: Practices on Tuesday, August 28th and Thursday, August 30th from 6:00-8:00p.m. at the BAC.  Concussion testing tonight at 5:30p.m. Once school starts they will practice after school until 5:00p.m. at the BAC.

Boys’ Soccer:
Grades 9-12: start on Monday, August 13th will practice from 9-11:00a.m.  Meet on the varsity soccer fields.

Football:
Grades 10-12: Practices start on Monday, August 13th from 9-11am and then again from 6-8pm.  Calendar is attached as well as summer opportunities, and a letter from Coach Lundeen.

Middle School Start of Season Information (Grades 7 & 8):
Both 7th and 8th grade practices will begin August 27th at 3pm in the Field House 
They will practice Monday-Thursday (8/27-8/30) in the fieldhouse, and then again starting the first week of school.

Girls Tennis:
Grades 9-12: Practices begin Monday, August 13th from 8-11:00am at the tennis courts.

Fall Musical:
Auditions: September 10th and 11th from 3-5pm, Callbacks on September 12th 3-5pm.  Tentative performance dates are Nov 30th, December 1st and December 2nd.

Girls’ Swimming and Diving Grades 7-12:
Starts Monday, August 13th .... for ALL 7-12 girls @ 8am - 11:00 am
Locations: Becker High School Pool - enter through Bulldog entrance
Please bring swimsuit, goggles, towel, tennis shoes, work out clothes for dry land practice.

Information on Registering:
Students need to be signed up before they will be allowed to practice.  Just a reminder that the registration process is a bit different than how it has been done in years past (same as last year though).  The district has made it possible to have a “one-stop shop” for most of the fees that are collected throughout the year.  With that being said, you will need to go to www.beckeractivities.com and create a new log-in (if you have not done this already last year to register for activities or to make lunch payments online).  When creating your new log-in, you will be asked for your student’s Student ID which can be found in Skyward.  (First log into your Skyward Family Access, then click on "Student Info" on the right hand side of the page.  All of your students should appear, and then directly under your child's picture you should see "Other ID" which should be the third thing listed.  You will only need one of your student’s Student ID to create your new log in).

Activity fees will be $150.00 (HS) and $115.00 (MS) for athletics and $95.00 (HS) and $85.00 (MS) for arts and other activities.  If you absolutely do not want pay online, you can still pay by check or cash in the activities office, but ALL of the forms still need to be filled out online and registration will not be complete until the fee is paid.  There will be a family cap of $650.00 for the year.

A REMINDER: all new 7th graders need to receive a MSHSL Sports Qualifying Physical from their physician before they will be allowed to participate in MSHSL sponsored Athletics.  Physicals are only good for three years, so 10th graders and other whose physical has expired will need to have another physical done in order to participate as well.  If you have any questions about whether or not your son or daughter’s physical is current please contact the activities office.  Appropriate physical forms can be downloaded at

A hard copy of the current sports qualifying physical still needs to be turned into the Activities Office before participation in activities will be allowed.

Other Importation Information:
Athletic Schedules are available online at www.graniteridgeconference.org Fall 2018 schedules are currently available, and Winter 2018-2019 and Spring 2019 will be available when school resumes.

There will be a Fall Sports Registration Meeting on Tuesday, July 31st at 6:00p.m. and we encourage all fall participants and parents to attend.
